FedEx and Friday
If you’re expecting a package to arrive from FedEx, it’s best that you keep up with when it’s supposedly arriving to your doorstep from a friendly delivery person. It is not best to not know when during the day it will arrive and to progress through the day as if it’ll arrive when it arrives.
(Or maybe that is a somewhat healthy way to approach the situation rather than to constantly worry over update emails that arrive at 5:36 AM)
But, it should be noted that it is a smart thing to be informed. Otherwise, you’ll possibly end up receiving your delivered item in the middle of moving an old boxspring for a queen sized bed by yourself. This, of course, is shortly after you got out of the shower and are attempting to set things within your life in an order which is why you’re moving the old boxspring for a queen sized bed from your office by yourself.
And if you’re going to be moving a boxspring for a queen sized bed by yourself, it’s best that you do it at a time when you are more than half dressed and wearing footwear other than sandals in the middle of winter when the temperatures are awful and it’s roughly four degrees above freezing (Fahrenheit, mind you).
Wearing sandals, jeans, and an unbuttoned jacket without a shirt in 36 degree weather is, well, not fun. Wearing sandals, jeans, and an unbuttoned jacket without a shirt while you are attempting to move an old boxspring for a queen sized bed from your office space to a dumpster across the parking lot is an adventure. And adventures are only fun when you’ve thought things through properly. If you haven’t thought things through properly and are in a haste to organize your day while being unorganized, you start to realize that you have made an error.
And that error starts with not keeping up with knowing when your delivery from FedEx will be made. And that delivery from FedEx will, inevitably, be made while you are half dressed in the middle of winter while moving a boxspring for a queen sized bed by yourself from your office to the dumpster across the parking lot.
